Fazit:
If you want a short voice memo recorder, low quality digital camera and web cam combo, this is the cheapest one you will find but it lacks key features

It's a little large compared to some of digital cameras at this price. 5.5" x 2.2" x 0.7". http://www.aiptek.com/www2/photo_pcvr-3.htm The pen shape makes sense for the audio recording. Any smaller and holding it might cover the microphone.
Great thing about this camera is it can record up to 13 minutes of audio. It can even play it back on an internal speaker. The quality is not great. 10 KHz. It can take pictures and audio at the same time which can then be mixed with software for 10 frames per second video.
The camera can take 26 pictures at 640 x 480 quality or 107 at 320 x 240. It uses two AAA batteries and it has a cradle for connecting through USB to your computer. It can also act as a web cam. No LCD display, just a 3 digit image counter. No flash. The included software is okay.
I found it for $20 here http://www.aiptek.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=R-PCVR&Category_Code=PC1 The reviews at Epinions and the store at the time of my review had prices above what I would pay. In their defense, they were also several years old.
I don't like the size or design myself because I would never use the voice recording function. There are digital video cameras and digital cameras with more memory, better quality and other advantages like recharging through USB.
If you wanted to say takes pictures for cataloging and make audio notes quickly or you are in the market for a memo, voice recorder and low quality camera, this one is for you. It does everything, just not very good.
