THE HISTORY OF IT ALL
"Tony Hawk Pro Skater" is a franchise about skateboarding. They have 5 games out right now. The first game was all about skateboarding and doing different stuff on your skateboard to get further in the game. That was fun until the second one come out and it was all downhill from there. The point of riding around on a skateboard and jumping over a cow just to get a tape will be amusing for a few days and then you will forget about it. It seemed like the Tony Hawk games ware just going down and down until: "Tony Hawk: Underground" come out.
WHAT'S NEW?
"Tony Hawk: Underground" is almost nothing like the other games. First you get to create your own skater. Choose his/her hair, torso, pants, shoes ETC. Then theirs a storyline {something the other games didn't bother to include} You are this skate-punk kid living in New-Jersey. You have a best friend named Eric. You get your chance to showoff your moves when "Chad Muska" Shows up in your city to shoot a demo. If you manage to impress Chad he gives you a skate board and a name of a skate shop that might sponsor you. the whole point in the game is to become a pro. Also a neat, new thing in this game is that you could now get on/off your board, so you not always glued to the skateboard.
WHAT'S BAD?
This game is far from perfect. First of all the voice acting in this game is horrible! It sounds like the some guy is doing everybody's voice. Plus if you play as a female you still be called "guy" and "dude." Another thing is the graphics. The Mods. Will get blurry on you sometimes and the detail in the environment is all right but not very good. Also a better camera view would be better.
OVERALL
This game is fun, A lot more fun then the other few games that have come out. I would recommend this game to about anyone. But if you not a big skateboarding fan, I suggest you just rent the game first.
